Called a mouse, not a mouse at all!

These beautiful charming little squirrel like animals will give hours of pleasure.

They look very much like a tiny 3 inch gray squirrel with a 2 inch fluffy tail.

They enjoy branches to climb on. You can just sit back and admire

the beauty of this small animal climbing from branch to branch.

An aquarium with a tight fitting lid is the best choice to house your dormouse. Plastic hamster homes make good nest boxes. For bedding use about 2 inches of pine shavings.

They love to run on a small mouse exercise wheel.

Provide live branches to climb on and cardboard tubes to play in.

Feed quality hamster/gerbil mix with added sunflower seed, raw peanuts, and kitten chow.

Twice a week provide fresh fruits and vegetables, with some fruit yogurt, blueberry being their favorite.

Use a 4oz. water bottle

Dormice require a warm temperature no less than 70F. This can be obtained by the use of a small heat pad (set on low heat) under one end of the aquarium.
