The domestic ferret (mustela putorius furo) is a small furry mammal from the musteliedae family. Ferrets are playful animals. They love to play with one another and to crawl in and out of boxes, trunks, and small spaces. Our ferrets are known for their good health and gentle, friendly disposition.

Your ferret has already been neutered and descented and have been given their first set of shots. Neutering helps avoid serious health complications that may occur as ferrets mature. Descenting helps reduce the odor traditionally associated with ferrets.

ferrets require a wire cage that is at least 24"x24"x15". the floor should be solid, either metal or wood.

Provide a small box or soft cloth so they may curl up and sleep in. Another alternative is to make a small hammock out of a small towel and hang it to the top of the cage.

You also want to provide a litter box or tray / pan.

Use pine shavings for bedding. NEVER USE CEDAR!

Use a heavy ceramic bowl for food and water dishes.

Ferrets live to be 5 to 8 years with proper care.

Feed your ferret a high quality ferret diet or a premium kitten food.
